Margaret Wright

It is with deep sadness we announce that Margaret Wright, our beloved aunt and friend too many, passed away on November 9, 2012 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. She was born to Raymond Arthur (Bradford, Yorkshire) & Mary Alice MacLeod (Isle of Lewis) Wright. Margaret was a truly remarkable woman. She worked for the City of Prince Albert for 36 years; the last 24 years as Chief City Purchasing Agent. She loved Prince Albert and had extensive knowledge of its history and remained interested in city activities until her passing. Margaret valued relationships and enjoyed special camaraderie with her book club and fellow cottage owners at Round Lake. She will be remembered for her incredible memory, business acumen, organizational ability, style and quick wit. Margaret is survived by her nephew R. James Wright of Tisdale, SK; niece Margaret Ann Thorson and great nephew Robert Kevin Thorson of Calgary, AB. Margaret was predeceased by her parents; infant brother Williams Alfred, all of Prince Albert; her brother Dr. Robert Donald Wright and wife Jean of Tisdale; great nephew Kraig Marlow Thorson of Calgary. At Margaret’s request there will be no funeral service, she will be cremated. The family respectfully wishes to thank Margaret’s friends and caregivers for their many acts of kindness and caring.
