Helen Pikaluk

Pikaluk, Helen late of Prince Albert passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the age of 83 years. She was born to Andrew and Mary Chambul on October 3, 1929 in Foxford, SK. She lived on her family farm until she completed grade 8 at the Foxford School and then spent one year living in Toronto with her cousins. When Helen returned home she moved to Paddockwood and worked in the General Store. Helen met her husband Steve and married him in 1949 on her family farm in Foxford. Her and Steve farmed in Paddockwood from 1949-1986. They had three sons Terry, Ronald and David. In 1986 they moved to Prince Albert and she became very involved in fundraising for the Elks and The Royal Purple Aux., in both Paddockwood and Prince Albert. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Terry (Paulette), Ron (Karen) and David (Wendy); her 9 grandchildren; her 6 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Pauline Wojiechowski and Olga (Bruno) Korol; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was predeceased by her husband Steve Pikaluk in 1995. A Funeral Service for Helen will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Mackenzie Chapel, Prince Albert, with Pastor Dennis Serface officiating.
