Irvin McKay Peters Sr. late of Sturgeon Lake First Nation passed away on February 3, 2013 in Prince Albert at the age of 70 years. Irvin is survived by his wife Sarah “Pricilla” Peters; his children: Jewel (Kenneth) Peters, Pearl (Ron) Peters, Irvin Jr. (Cynthia) Peters, Melvina (Mathew) Burns, Ina (Nelson) Peters, Wilson (Jessie) Peters, Vern Ermine, Mona (Kevin) Charles, Evelyn Bird and Patsy Bird; his adopted children: Patsy (Bobby) Ermine and Gene (Delores) Ermine; his special granddaughter: Ashley (Daniel) Peters; his God children: Larry, Paul Primeau and Kyle Peters; his 50 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren; his special cousins: Henry Sr. Felix and Kenneth Crowe; his special friend: Raymond Charles; his sisters and brothers: Ina (Dennis) Ahenakew, Lena Peters, Lorne Peters, Elwood (Gladys) Peters, Jewel Littlecrowe, Violet Naytowhow and Louise Peters. Irvin was predeceased by his daughter Noella Peters, his step daughter Angel Bird, and his parents: McKay & Catherine Peters; his brothers and sisters: Clifford, Joyce, Sylvia, Marlene Peters, Pauline Royal and Frank Joseph; his mother and father-in-law: Jonas & Amelia Bird; his sister-in-law: Clara Nelson; his nephews: Claude and Chuck Ahenakew; his special friends: Noel Turner and Arnold Naytowhow. A Prayer Service will be held on February 5 & 6, 2013 at 5:00 PM at the Sturgeon Lake First Nation Community Center, A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Sturgeon Lake First Nation Community Center. .
