George Winge
It is with heavy hearts that the family of George Len Winge announce his passing on February 14, 2013. George passed away at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 47, due to cancer. George was born in Prince Albert, SK on February 9, 1966 to Shirley and Keith Winge. George is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Evelyn Winge (Pellerin); his two sons, Nelson Winge and Nicholas Winge; his mother, Shirley Winge; his brother and sister-in-law, Kelvin and Debbie Winge; his nieces, Jennifer Stacey (Winge) and family, and Adriane Winge; his mother and father-in-law, Gloria Pellerin and Tom Solonski; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Brenda Pellerin; his nephew, Tony Pellerin and family; and niece, Carlie Pellerin; as well as many other relatives and very close friends. George was predeceased by his father, Keith Winge; and his father –in-law, Art Pellerin. George was a quiet, yet funny, caring, and loving man. He grew up north of Birch Hills on a farm where he spent his childhood. He moved into Prince Albert when he was a teenager and that’s where he met Evelyn, his soul mate. He loved his job, driving truck at Esso, delivering fuel to all the farmers he knew so well. When he wasn’t working, he was renovating his own home as well as many of his family and friends’ homes. He loved to keep busy with his hands and was always outside in the garage fixing or building something new. This included building wood furniture, restoring vehicles, fixing vehicles, and inventing tools that were not at hand. Let’s just say there was nothing he couldn’t fix. George spent many summers lying on the beach at Sunny Side with friends and family and in the winter he enjoyed snowmobiling. Hanging out with Evelyn and their boys was one of his favorite past times no matter what they were doing. You could always count on George to lend a helping hand without question. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, and friend who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Val Bodnaryk Celebrant.
