Marie Tralnberg
April 26, 1927 – February 17, 2013

Marie passed peacefully into her Lord’s presence February 17, 2013 at the Herb Bassett Nursing Home. Marie is survived by her loving family: her daughter Dorothy (Ross) Powell of Sparwood, BC; her sons Ken (Teri) Tralnberg of St. Albert, AB and their daughters Jaymie, Keri and Brynn; Brian Tralnberg of Saskatoon, SK and his daughters Jalyn and Jensen; Ron Tralnberg of Kelowna, BC and his daughter Kandis; and Mark (Caroline) Tralnberg of Duncan, BC and his children Eliza, Samual and Emmaline; her great-grandchildren Zoe, Jackson, Grayson and Samantha; and her sisters Celine and Dorothy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years Donald; her parents Henry and Marie Lafferty; her father and mother-in-law Emil and Maria Tralnberg; her granddaughter Kelly Tralnberg; and her siblings Germaine, Alphonse, Magloire, John, Antoinette, Margaret, Agatha, Alida and Jeanette. Marie was born on April 26, 1927 in Fond du Lac, SK to a large loving family. She grew up with a fondness for the great outdoors and all its adventures. She married Donald in 1954 and began a journey of moving across the western provinces finally settling in P.A. in 1975. Marie was a strong courageous lady of many talents. She was known for her dedication, compassion and ability to see the potential in others. Marie was known as Mother to many over the years. Thank you to the staff of Paradise Path for the fabulous care that you gave both Marie and Don. Public Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 with Pastor Glen Stead officiating. Both services will be held at Gray’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Victoria Hospital Foundation, 1200 – 24th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4N9.
