Dale Darlene Burton passed away February 27, 2013 at the Herb Bassett Home after coping valiantly with cancer / dementia. Dale is survived by her husband Gene; daughter Sandy (Gerry); son Jim (Carrie Lee); grandchildren Jan, Christine and Kurt; two sisters Audrey Collings and Bev (Charlie) Abbey; one brother Wince Silvester; brother-in-law Harvey (Jessie) Burton and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was born on February 25, 1941 in North Battleford, SK to Brue and Florence Silvester. She received her Business College Degree in 1967, the next year she married the love of her life Gene Burton. They owned and operated Choiceland Transport and later Big K Carwash. Dale worked at various floral shops giving sunshine to others with her floral designs. She had a unique gift with her creative mind, kind heart and brilliant smile. She loved gardening, bowling, wood carving and her flower beds. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother and no one could deny the love she shared. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, #301 – 2550 – 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
