Serge Cembrowski

On March 13, 2013, Serge Cembrowski of MacDowall, SK gently passed on after a courageous battle with cancer. Serge was born July 21, 1932 at Oscar Lake, SK. In 1942 the family moved to the farm in MacDowall where Serge lived ever since. In 1968, Serge married Lily Prihodko and they had two children, Peter and Christine. Farming was his passion, his cows his joy. Much to his delight the family farm got passed on to the next generation. Serge is survived by his daughter, Christine; granddaughter, Kadi; Kadi’s father, Craig Williams and family (Clayton, Kara, Karmen); his sisters Anne Brezden (Prince Albert) and Zenia Goddue (Kinistino). He was predeceased by his wife Lily; son Peter; parents Helen and Peter Cembrowski; as well as siblings Martha Olesko and Mary Markiewicz. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 1351 – 28 Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Michael Engbers officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorials donations can be made to First Baptist Church., 1351 – 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 6T4.
