Elaine Denise Falstead (nee Gosselin) passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 2, 2013 while holding hands with her loving husband of 38 years, Bruce. Elaine was predeceased by her brother Edward in 2009. She is survived by her daughter Leah and son Jordan, granddaughter, Coralene, and siblings Barry, Sandra, and Barb, and her mother Coralene. Elaine was a friend and champion for First Nations communities throughout her life. She fought an incredibly brave 12 year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Funeral Home in Surrey, BC on Friday, April 5 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Elaine's honour to Skwachàys Healing Lodge 604-687-3589.
