Rose Marie Tushkewich
July 25, 1944 – May 3, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother and baba, Rose Tushkewich. Mom passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 surrounded by her family at the Victoria Hospital. Mom was born on July 25th, 1944 in Paddockwood, SK. She grew up on the family farm there, and upon graduating went to Saskatoon to become a CNA. She worked as a nurse at the Victoria hospital from the beginning of her career until the time of her retirement. Mom was a kind and compassionate person, who loved her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and her beloved cat Jasper unconditionally. She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing all kinds of card and board games with them, teaching them how to knit, and watching movies. Her grandchildren always loved going to Baba’s house. She also loved having coffee and visiting with friends and family. Mom is survived by her husband of 45 years Paul Tushkewich; her three daughters Judy (Rob) Ellis, Pattie (Terry) Lysyk, and Jacki (Scott) Oshanek; her five grandchildren Kaleigh & Ryley Ellis, Mia Lysyk, and Tobey & Parker Oshanek; her brother Harry (Leona) Pidborochynski and their sons Jerrold (Tara) and Brent and her special friend and “sister” Del (Stan) Toporowski. She was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Pidborochynski and her brother Jerry Pidborochynski. We would like to thank the nurses on the 5th Floor at the Victoria Hospital for the wonderful care they provided.
