Malcolm Collin Millar

Millar, Malcolm Colin passed away June 29, 2013 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 87 years. Born on Pomquet Island, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, he was the eldest son of Ruth and George Millar. After finishing high school he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in England during World War II. On returning to civilian life he attended the University of New Brunswick, graduating in 1953 with a degree in Forestry. He and his wife Geraldine moved to Prince Albert where he was employed with D.N.R. until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement his summers were spent golfing and his winters were spent bowling and curling. Malcolm was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Prince Albert for 46 years and the Army and Navy Club in Prince Albert for 53 years. Left to mourn his passing are his sisters: Thelma Beairsto, Brampton, Ont. and Barbara Millar, Dartmouth, N.S.; his special friend: Jeanette Schuler and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife: Geraldine (Perry); his sisters: Rosa Mattinson and Minna Halloran and his brother: David Millar.
