Gerald Douglas Daniel Anderson “Julio”
1971 – 2013

Gerald lost his courageous battle with cancer on July 7, 2013. He is survived by his children Brock, Jessica, Taylor and Cheyenne; his parents Jerry and Betty Anderson; his sister Tina (Joey – Hana and Kristopher) Ruszkowski; his brother Eric (Aimee Allan) Anderson. Gerald was the best and most loving dad who always put his kids first, a terrific brother, great uncle, loving and caring son, a best friend who was accepting, loyal and fun, a favorite cousin and nephew. Gerald was born in Prince Albert and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He has made many lifelong friends. Gerald worked at a job he loved in construction for Sask Energy for numerous years. “Julio” has greatly missed his co-worker friends and being at work. Good times were being with family and friends. He was quick to crack a joke or play pranks on others and also had a great sense of humor. If buying anything, we called Gerald a wheeler and dealer who loved to bargain, a talent he was happy to use for anyone. Gerald loved spending time at his place at the lake. He enjoyed his sports, hunting and fishing with his kids and friends. Most of all he cherished time spent with his kids. During his illness, Gerald had dignity, great strength and positive attitude. He was very unselfish, loved to tease or make a joke to cheer other people up. Gerald is the definition of so many words in the dictionary – strength, faith, courage and so many more words that when you hear them or read them, you think of Gerald. He is truly the most amazing man you have ever met and we had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Gerald you will be deeply missed and forever loved. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Apostolic Church, 717 MacArthur Drive, Prince Albert, SK with the Reverend Norbert Haukenfrers officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
