Nelson Berton “Mac” McQuarrie
1930 – 2013
Mac passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert, SK. He was born in Prince Albert, SK on May 23, 1930. During Mac’s working life his major employer was DNS he was employed as a carpenter mainly in PA and northern SK, Mac also farmed on the side. He was noted for painting his granaries different colors with polka dots and squares. He was an avid bingo player and hockey fan. Mac is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings; Ken McQuarrie in1986, Pearl Beres in 1992, Greeta Johnson in 1995, Phyllis Goodman in 2002 and Edna Earing in 2007. A special thank you to all the Lakeland Trail staff for the compassionate care that Nelson received during his time spent at the Herb Bassett Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director of Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
