1930 – 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Olson, announce her passing at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children Hubert (Yvonne) Isbister, Bruce (Elaine) Isbister, Barry (Gail) Isbister, Valarie Isbister, Randy Isbister and Brian (Vicki) Isbister; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her sisters Ellen Baird, Florence (Steve) Oleksiewicz, Cora Larocque, Murial Guildager and Myrna Baird; her brother Mervin (Marie) Brown; Jack’s children, Helen (Rod) Martel, Lynn (Hubert) Collins, Carol Hartnett, Wade Olson and Vincent (Shirley) Olson; grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Myron Isbister; her second husband Jack Olson; her sister Shirly Walsh; her daughter-in-law Shelly (Gunville) Isbister and Rose (Hubert) Isbister; her brothers-in-law Austin Baird, Hercules Larocque, Hank Guildager and Bart Baird. Dorothy worked at North Park Centre, as a Group Activites Aid for twenty-five years. She had great determination and independence. She loved to dance and listen to old time fiddle music, always up for a game of cards and putting puzzles together. Her family would like to thank Kopera Care Home for their compassion and kindness in looking after our mother. She greatly appreciated all that was done for her. Public Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013. Both services will be held at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
