He is survived by his wife Patricia; son David; niece Joan Listwin, nephew Danny Mardell; extended family members and many dear friends. Peter was born in Clouston district on August 11, 1930. When he was 10 the family settled in Red Deer Hill area, where he lived until his passing. As a young man he worked on the family farm and enjoyed fastball, playing for the Red Deer Hill team. He and the remaining members of the team were inducted into the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame in 2013. Peter worked at McGavin Toastmaster for 10 years before taking over the family farm on a full time basis together with his late brother Danny. As well as growing a range of grain crops he was keenly interested in cattle and developed a herd of purebred Herefords, often showing them at the Prince Albert Exhibition. He curled in St. Louis and Prince Albert for many years and also enjoyed golfing, particularly at Waskesiu, where he, Pat and David spent summer holidays at their cottage. For several years he and Pat also enjoyed winters in Arizona. Peter will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a loyal and generous friend to many. He was deeply committed to the Red Deer Hill community and his neighbours on Halcro Road.
