Mancini – Marie Amanda Cecilia (nee Croteau)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cecilia Mancini. She peacefully succumbed to her short battle with cancer September 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Born – March 18, 1936 in Prince Albert, SK.
Loving wife of Henry Mancini (48 yrs)

Debb Croteau, grandmother of Tiffany Clark-Shulman and Ryan Clark
Bonnie Martin, grandmother to Adam Martin

Cecilia was daughter of Gabrielle and Alfred Croteau of Tweedsmuir, Sk.
Sister to:
Yvonne (Jack) Daughton, niece Diane McLeod and nephew Denis Daughton
Louise (Allan) Pickering, nephews: Dale, Alfred, Arthur
Louvern (Lillian) Croteau, nephews: Ken, Jim, Ralph, Wayne and Gordon
Luella Stevenson
Arthur Croteau, nephew: Terry
Aunt to Janet (Pete) Ackelauer, Gary Mancini, Barry (Sherry) Hawkins and many other Mancini, Price children.
Cecilia left Saskatchewan in the 1950’s to live and work in Calgary, Alberta later to return in 1977 where she and Henry opened seasonally “Mancini’s Grill and Garage” at Murray Point, Emma Lake, Sk. There she was known for her scrumptious burgers and large ice cream cones.
Not completely satisfied with the long winters off they began driving school bus. Cecilia drove school bus in the Christopher Lake/Emma Lake area from
November 1979 – June 2001. Many will remember that Henry rigged their busses with sound systems so that the children could enjoy their music during the ride to school. She also had a strict no “AC DC” rule!
When she was not driving school bus she loved working with the little children at the Christopher Lake Daycare. That is when she began making pyrogies for fund raising. Cecilia was well known to many for her offbeat sense of humour as well as her tasty pyrogies.
Dogs also had a special place in her heart. She wanted to help the Prince Albert SPCA so with her little dog” Koki”, whom she often called her little “Shit-zu!”, participated in “Walk for Paws” walkathon. She will now be sadly missed by her little dachshund “Shadow” who has been seen constantly by her side
As an active member of the Christopher Lake Legion she could be heard calling Bingo on Friday evenings.
She spent many summers on the golf course and many winters in the curling rink. She, with her sister Yvonne curled successfully in many “Granny Spiels”.
Cecilia was predeceased by her parents Gabrielle and Alfred Croteau, brother, Arthur Croteau, husband Clifford Martin
No funeral as per her wishes. A family “Celebration of Life” will be held.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Prince Albert SPCA.
