Hewitt, Maisie (nee Beverley) – On September 21, 2013, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 98 years Auntie Maisie was called home by our Lord and Saviour She passed away peacefully with her niece Lori and nephew Larry at her side. Auntie Maisie was born on May 6, 1915 to George and Jessie Beverly, the younger of two children. She was an avid golfer, curler and bowler. At the age of 90 she was still swinging a golf club! She was an active member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Christina Mills group. Auntie Maisie met the love of her life, Freddy in 1930 while working at the Burns Meat Plant and after being friends for 2 years, they became a couple. They were married December 17, 1941 and were happily married for 52 years until Uncle Freddy’s passing in 1993. Auntie Maisie had a heart of gold and her real joy in life was when she was surrounded by her family and friends. She was always there to help everyone out. She was a loving Aunt and loyal friend. She will be deeply missed. Auntie Maisie is survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Freddy (1993); her parents: George and Jessie Beverley; her brother and sister-in-law: William & Minnie Beverley; her nieces: Rene Logue, Shirley Dallman, Alberta Kacuiba and Linda Mazurkewich; and her great-nephews: Rickey Dallman, Billy Kacuiba, Bill Logue and Michael Mazurkewich. A Celebration of Her Life will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 – 1:00 pm, MacKenzie Chapel, 130 9th St. E, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Marcel Carriere officiating. Interment to follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Prince Albert, SK. When you walked through heaven’s gate Jesus met you there, opened his arms, smiled and said, “Well done good and faithful Servant.
