It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Marie Slobodian (Block) at the age of 74. Audrey passed away peacefully in the palliative care unit of the Regina Pasqua Hospital on Nov. 3. Audrey was born on Dec 8, 1938 in Rabbit Lake Hospital to parents Willard and Lena Block of Spiritwood, Sask. At the age of 5 she moved with her parents and sister, Isla, to a farm in the Rayside District, north of Shellbrook. She attended Rayside School and later bussed to Shellbrook where she graduated from high school. She spent her adult life living and working in the areas of Shellbook, Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her siblings; Isla (Ed) Solanik, Rae (Bruce) Moe, Bill (Dagmar) Block, Dorothy (Jerry) Danielson and their families; her step son Michael Slobodian; step daughter Shawndel (Derek) Arneson; grandchildren Leland and Marshall Slobodian, Noah and Joshua Arneson and by her many friends and extended family. Audrey was predeceased by her parents Lena and Willard Block and her husband Ron Slobodian.
There will be a “Celebration of Audrey’s Life” on Wed. Nov. 13th at 12:30 P.M. at the Sheraton Cavalier in Saskatoon.
