February 10, 1930 – November 20, 2013
Pauline Yvette Lajeunesse (nee Tardif) – age 83 years passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 peacefully with her family by her side. Pauline was born to Honoré and Irene Tardif on February 10, 1930 and raised in Wanakena, SK. Pauline was one of 7 siblings. She attended elementary school in Wanakena and graduated from Debden High School. On October 3, 1949 she married her loving husband of 50 years, Edmond Lajeunesse and settled in the Debden district. The illness that inflicted Pauline never deterred her devotion to her loved ones. The love and care bestowed upon her by the staff of care homes in Shellbrook, Spiritwood and finally Mont Saint Joseph in Prince Albert will be cherished for many years to come. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Edmond; her grandson Sterling; her parents Honoré and Irene Tardif and her brother-in-law Gordon MacKenzie. Pauline is survived by her children Vic (Donna), Don (Peggy), Marilyn (Brian) Woodward, Leo (Marianne), Linda (Guy) Bilodeau and Roger (Joanne); 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers Hector (Carmen), Rita, Leo (Olga), Louise (Henry) Armand and Denis (Marlene) and many nieces and nephews. A Public Viewing will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Debden, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Sebastian Kunnath. Interment will be held at the Debden Cemetery. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
