ALICE BERGINE SCOBIE
December 29, 1932 – November 27, 2013
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing at home of our dearly departed Alice “Allison” Bergine Scobie. Alice was born on the family farm near Ordale, SK. Alice loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and sitting by the fire were some of the simple pleasures she loved out of life. She also found great pleasure in playing cards or going out for dinners and dancing with her companion. Alice was the youngest of the three sisters, Clara Engstrom and Doris Cassidy. Alice is survived by her loving companion Curtis Forsberg and four sons, Blain (Marilyn) Twigge, Gale Twigge, and Dwight (Shannon)Twigge, and Derek (Judy) Scobie, four grandsons Rob, Wade, Nevada, and Jessie Twigge, three granddaughters, Christa Cooper, Kelly Twigge and Pamela Hart, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her two older sisters and one baby son Henry Scobie. We will all miss her dearly and will cherish the many fond memories that she has given us throughout the years to remember her by. We would like to sincerely thank the nurses and home care staff, for their compassion and tender care that was bestowed upon Alice in her time of need. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Scarborough Baptist church or a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2 from the Scarborough Baptist Church – 2650 – 6 Avenue East. Reverend Jerry Wortman will officiate.
