Mary Gulansky passed away December 28, 2013 at the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge in Wakaw at the age of 97. Mary was born December 4, 1916, in the Tway area, formerly known as Bonne Madone, the eldest child of Andrew and Katherine (Sarchuk) Doktor. She married John Gulansky at the Bonne Madone Church November 8, 1932. They farmed and raised five children. Mary is survived by her children: Elizabeth (Henry) Kehrig, Olive (Peter) Sundquist, Sylvester (Lydia) Gulansky and Joanne Gaudet; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents, her daughter Marian (Ed) Peiluck and her siblings: John, Sam, George, Paul, Annie Gates and Victor. The Prayer Service will be held in the Chapel of Kushneryk Funeral Service in Wakaw on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at the Sts Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Tway, SK on Friday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Both services will be led by the Rev. Fr. Mykola Romanets. Interment will follow in the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mary may be directed to the Sts Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church or to the Lakeview Pioneer Lodge.
