Cecil Oliver

Cecil Massey Oliver passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years in Kamloops, B.C. on December 26, 2013. He was predeceased by his loving wife and life partner of 65 years, Margaret (née Winterburn).
He will be lovingly remembered by his six children: Sandra Oliver, Renee (Dean) Cooper, Susan (Barry) Warner, Jak Oliver, Patrick (Karyn) Oliver Christine (Phil Waldenberger) Oliver; seven grandchildren: Gregory (Terri), Bryan, Sharla (Christopher), Darin (Jenna), Matthew, Danielle, Nicholas and four great grandchildren: Ryan, Nicole, Ty and Madison. He is also survived by his younger brother, Bill Oliver of Beausejour, Manitoba.
Cecil was a WWII veteran serving in France, Holland, Italy and North Africa. After the war, he married Margaret in 1946. Together they moved to Prince Albert in 1954 where they raised six children. Cecil was employed with the Department of Fisheries until his retirement in 1975. He was a devoted husband and father, with a love of nature and the outdoors. He was an experienced hunter and fisherman and in his retirement owned a small hobby farm.
At Cecil's request there will be no service. A private family internment will take place in Prince Albert at a later date.
