June 27, 1957 – January 19, 2014
Lloyd Dennis Hansen, 57 of Saskatoon and La Ronge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Lloyd was born in Prince Albert, SK. on June 27, 1957. He attended elementary at Wildrose school and high school at Carlton school. Lloyd was married to Elizabeth Macdonald and were blessed with 3 wonderful boys. Lloyd worked as a heavy duty mechanic for many years. He enjoyed working on cars and had a real love for Mustangs. He loved going fast, had a passion for drag racing and muscle cars. Pretty much anything that got him going more than 200 km/h. His passions will live on in his sons and grandson. Lloyd was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. His earthly body may be gone, but his spirit will live on through us all for years to come. He will be deeply missed. Lloyd is survived by his 5 children; Rodney, Darren, Tyler, Melanie and April. Also by his wife, Elizabeth Macdonald, mother Yvonne Hansen, his 7 grandchildren, brother Daryl, 3 sisters Linda, Mary and Kathy, nieces and nephews and the rest of his family and friends. Lloyd is preceded in death by his father Melvin Hansen, and will be laid to rest with him in his family plot in Prince Albert, SK. Gone is the face we love so dear, Silent is the voice we loved to hear, too far away for sight or speech, but not to far for thought to reach, sweet to remember him who once was here, and who, though absent, is just as dear. A viewing will be held in memory of Lloyd Hansen on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Saskatoon Funeral Home, 338 4th Avenue North, Saskatoon.
