Stella Hollands (Ballendine nee Demerais)

Stella Hollands (Ballendine nee Demerais) passed away peacefully Monday February 17, 2014 in Saskatoon. Born near Prince Albert at Davis in 1933 she was 80 years of age. Stella was raised and lived in the farming communities north of Weldon, Coxby, Buttlers, St Phillips, Glen Mary, Queen Maud, Liberty Hall. After Sandy died she made her home in Saskatoon, where met and married Don. She lived on her own until dementia took control and she had to move to Sherbrooke.
Predeceased by parents Alec and Elizabeth (Crain) Demerais, brothers Andrew, Tom, David, Hover, Duncan, husband James (Sandy) Ballendine, husband Donald Hollands and son Bruce.
Survived by brother Allen (Gladys) Demerais, sister Rose (Ted) Conrad, sons Rodney, Wayne, Derek and daughter Cindy (Bruce) Hope.
Funeral services with Legion Rites in Saskatoon at Acadia McKague Funeral Chapel, 915 Acadia Dr. (just north of 8th Street). Saturday February 22, 2:00PM in their chapel. A social will follow at the Nutana Legion #362 at 3021 Louise St (beside the bowling alley).
