Louise Ella Williams
September 3, 1934 – February 25, 2014
It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Louise Williams. Louise passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2014, surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren. Louise was born on September 3, 1934 in Birch Hills; the oldest of four children born to Gilbert and Clara Storey. She married Bud Williams on April 25, 1953 and they raised nine children in Nesbit Heights, where Louise resided her entire life. Mom’s pride and joy was her children and their families, and she loved being surrounded by her family and friends at the lake, at our Mother’s Day golf tournaments, Boxing Day gatherings, and her theatre outings with Shirley. Left with wonderful memories are her children Sunni (Yvon), Tom (Debbie), Garry, David (Collette), Betty (Terry), Leslie, Chris (Samantha); daughter-in law Coleen (Rupert); 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her brother Garry (Jean); niece Linda Sapergia (Lorne); nephew Bob Lewis (Jan) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Louise was previously deceased by her son Don, 1979; grandson Jordan, 1986; son Michael 1989; her husband Bud in 1998; daughters-in-law Brenda in 1999, and Lori in 2010. Thank you to Dr. Rob Ardell for taking such good care of our mom, both recently and over many years. Thanks also to Rosemary Bear and RNs Denise and Jocelyn on the 5th floor, Victoria Union Hospital for their help and many kindnesses while mom was with them. To the Home Care nurses and staff for their kindness and gentle care over the last few weeks, thank you. A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Nordale Community Hall, 1306 – 6th Avenue North West, Prince Albert, SK. A private family interment will be held at a later date. It is the family’s request that anyone wishing to place memorials may do so by donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, 2 Lansing Square, Suite 804, Toronto, ON M2J 4P8 or to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, 2 – 1124 – 8 Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S4.
