Dad was born on March 16, 1932 in Corning, SK and was the fourth eldest of eight children. As a young child he moved with his family to Regina. This is where he met and married mom on May 31, 1952. They moved to Saskatoon and seven years later in 1967 made their final move to Prince Albert. Dad began his working career with the Provincial Government as an electrician and retired 36 years later as a Regional Director. Dad and mom loved to travel and spent many years wintering in Texas. Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and berry picking which provided well for his large family. Dad enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool, golfing and bowling. Dad cherished his family and we are comforted knowing that his pain and suffering is over and he is now resting peacefully with mom. The family would like to thank the dialysis unit nurses for the care and compassion they have shown dad for the past year and a half. Thank you to the Victoria Hospital level six staff, Dr. Watt and Dr. Davis for helping to make dad comfortable during his final days. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Calvary United Church, 114 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.
