Mr. Gary Kenneth Benson

1951-2014

It is with profound sadness and shock that the family of Gary K. Benson announce his sudden and unexpected passing following a tragic accident. Gary was born on March 16, 1951 and passed away at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. on June 11, 2014 at the age of 63 years.

Gary leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years, Barb (nee: Aiken) Benson of Canwood, SK., his sons; Leeland (Candice) Benson and their children, Hadley, Javon and Tyne of Leoville, SK., Tony Benson (Amanda Holder) of Saskatoon, SK., his mother, Alice Benson of Canwood, SK., his brother, Ernest (Donna) Benson of Canwood, SK., his sisters; Shirley (Dick) Talmey of Saskatoon, SK.,Laverne (Murray) Kelln of Cranbrook, SK., Marion (Keith) Paul of Saskatoon, SK., his sister-in-law, Meri Benson of Canwood, SK., his brothers-in-law, Glen (Joy) Aiken of Canwood, SK., Ken (Odile) Aiken of Canwood, SK. and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.

Gary was predeceased by; his father, Ralph Benson (2003), his brother, Ronnie (2007), his father-in-law, Robert Aiken (2000), his mother-in-law, Ione Aiken (2002).

The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Canwood Elk's Community Center with Susan Sorenson as officiant. The Urnbearers will be Leeland Benson and Tony Benson. The Stories of Celebration will be done by Barb, Leeland and Tony.
