Marie Clara Georget (nee Heroux), age 87 years, passed away peacefully at Lakeview Pioneer Lodge on Wednesday June 18, 2014. Marie was born on August 1, 1926 and raised on the farm east of Domremy with her 11 brothers and sisters. She married André Georget in 1945 and they remained on the farm until 1998. Subsequent moves took them to Domremy, Prince Albert, the Foyer in Bellevue and her final home at the Lodge in Wakaw. Mom’s hobbies included crocheting, knitting, gardening and baking. Throughout the years, she and Dad enjoyed hosting and attending fiddle contests and parties. She was an avid community supporter who was always so generous and hospitable.
She will be lovingly remembered by: her husband of 68 years André; her children Lawrence (Lil) Georget, Connie (Hank) Roy, Thomas (Michelle) Georget; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Sheri (Blaine) Lasiuk (Joanne, Stacey & Christine Honoroski), Sean (Lorrie) Georget, Shelby (Deb) Georget (Mason & Nixon), Pat (Lori) Roy (Kiana, Kalan & Kyra), Danielle, Matthew & Jaime Georget; her siblings Clarence Heroux, Alice (Roland) Bremner and Joan Bremner; her sisters-in-law Jeannette Heroux and Madeleine Georget and her brother-in-law Ben Rompré; numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Adelaide Heroux, her grand-daughter Kristen Roy, her daughter-in-law Cecile (Roy) Georget, her sisters Elaine, Lucille, Marguerite and Ella, her brothers Frank, Elmer, Wilfred and Eugene, numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Prayer vigil will be held on Monday June 23, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Father Michael Fahlman on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy. Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Marie may do so to the Domremy Golden Age Club. Interment of the urn will take place at the Domremy Roman Catholic Cemetery following the mass.
