Walter Grypiuk
February 9, 1937 – June 13, 2014
The family of Walter Grypiuk is sad to announce his passing on June 13, 2014 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 77 years. Walter was born in 1937 and he lived and farmed in the Gronlid area for the first part of his life. He was married in 1965, to Sharon (nee Fargey) and they had two children together. In the early 1970s Walter and his family moved to Melfort where Walter worked various jobs. In the late 1980s, Walter moved to Prince Albert and worked at the COOP Gas bar until his retirement in 2002. Walter was very active in his retirement years. He gardened, danced and did construction projects. Walter is survived by his two sons: Colby Grypiuk and David (Shauna) Grypiuk and their children: Rebecca and Kaitlyn; his dance partner and close companion: Phyllis Hourie; his sister: Anne Burch; his cousin: Roy Grypiuk; as well as many other Disiewich and Dawydiuk relatives. Walter was predeceased by his parents: Theodore “Fred” and Mary Grypiuk and his brothers: Russell and Harry Grypiuk as well as numerous other aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Life will be held for Walter on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 – 11:00 am, MacKenzie Chapel, 130 9th St E., Prince Albert, SK. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium.
