It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne Walls on June 18, 2014. Dianne was born in Birch Hills, SK on November 26, 1947 to Ethel and George Armstrong. The family resided in Branspeth, SK. George passed away when Dianne was very young. Ethel remarried Alexander (Sandy) Marshall who played an important role in her life. Dianne married Garry Walls in October 1969 and had 2 children: Troy and Corrine (Anderson). They lived in Prince Albert and Kerrobert before settling in Wakaw, SK. For as long as the family can remember, Dianne loved being around children. She babysat over a 100 children in her life time and continued to care for children by becoming a foster parent for the Ministry of Social Services. When Garry passed away in 2001, Dianne decided to travel to Mexico where she eventually met her husband Concepcion (Concho) Tirado Rodriguez. Concho has one daughter (Aracely) and two grandchildren (Nicole and Santiago). Dianne was so kind and caring to all the children in her home. She fell in love with a very special boy and adopted Gordon Walls. Dianne was also known for her passion for hockey and would often be found at the rink cheering on her grandsons, Traie and Travis Walls. Even in her last days she travelled to Saskatoon and Regina to watch her grandson win a provincial volleyball championship. A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Wakaw on July 2, 2014 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mandi Hecht officiating. Donations in memory of Dianne may be directed to KidsSport. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Marc Blondeau of Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK. 306-233-4403.
