MRS. WHILELMINA MCBETH

Mrs. Whilelmina McBeth, age 93, of the Cecil district passed away in the Hafford Special Care Center on Thursday, June 26, 2014. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Marlene (Ken) Harper of Birch Hills, Fern (Eugene) Forrest of Rose Valley, Jean (Henri) Paulhus of Saskatoon, Donna McBeth (James Figley) of Asquith and Rod McBeth of Edmonton; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson – Warren (Brenda) Harper, Kellen and Camryn; Joanne Harper, Jill, Kristin and her son Lyndon, Kelsey; Vincent (Adrian) Harper, Jennifer and Eric; Harold Forrest, Melissa and Kayla; Kathy (Len) Stefaniuk, Hailey and Laureen; Michelle (Tim) Paulhus Walts, Jett and Bayli; Marc (Deb) Paulhus; Morrie (Jenny) Figley-McBeth, Tana and Ryker; Ryan, Keegan, Devon and Shannon McBeth; her sister Vicki Vickerson of Spruce Grove, AB; her sister-in-law Alma Bondarenko of Thorhild, AB; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon (1999), her grandson Gordon Forrest (2004), her sisters Annie Urban and Stephanie Malicky; her brother Victor Bondarenko; and her nephew Jerry Malicky. Whilelmina was born March 16, 1921 in Weasel Creek, AB, daughter of Sam Bondarenko and Katie Kruhlak. In 1937, she came to the Henribourg district to visit her sister Annie where she met Gordon McBeth. They were married in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church October 1, 1938. They farmed in the Henribourg area until 1948 when they moved to farm in the Cecil district. Following Gordon’s death, Whilelmina continued to reside on the farm until she moved to Rose Valley to live with Fern and Gene. Later, she returned to Prince Albert and was a guest of Wellsprings Care Home. Needing more care, she was transferred to the Hafford Special Care Center where she passed away. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, at River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend Nora Vedress will officiate. Donations to the Colleston Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place in the Colleston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director.
