Ronald Thompson, age 88 years, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Prince Albert, SK. Ronald was born Friday, November 6, 1925 in Wolsley, SK, and later moved to Prince Albert. He completed his education at Queen Mary and P.A.C.I. Schools. Upon completion he entered Normal School, teaching for over 35 years in various schools throughout Saskatchewan. He completed his career at Wild Rose School in Mayview. While teaching there he purchased an acreage and spent many years living there with his wife Shirley. After her passing, he moved to Frenchman’s Butte, then returned to the Shellbrook area spending his time driving around the countryside and visiting with many friends, both old and new. He resided there until his passing. Ronald is survived by: his brother Doug; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many good friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents Jim and May Thompson; his brother Gervin; his sister-in-law Shirley. Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. A Graveside service and interment of cremated remains will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Iris Kristiansdottir officiating.
