Violet Bernice Snell
May 20, 1928- October 8, 2014
SNELL- Violet Bernice passed away peacefully at the Big River Nursing Home on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at the age of 86 years. After months of struggling with her illness, Bernice slowly lost her courageous battle.
Bernice and her husband were mink ranchers, and they also did commercial fishing. In later years, she was a teacher’s aide at the Dore Lake School. Her passions included curling and gardening. She always took great pride in her yard and flowers. She will always have a special place in the hearts of all those who loved her and she will be sadly missed by her family.
Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her son Ken (Karen) Snell, their children Charma (David) Larre, Paul (Angela) Snell, Jonathan (Sabrina) Snell, and their families; her daughter-in-law Simone Snell and her children Shawn (Amy) Snell, and Jeffrey Snell; her sister-in-law Helen Tallis, and her family; and her niece Doreen Devito and her family. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Snell; her son Bob Snell; her parents Jacob & Eleanor Belfry; her sister and brother-in-law Gloria (Orville) Horan; her sister Jean Belfry; her brother Keith Belfry; Robert’s parents Andrew & Josephine Snell; her brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law Clarence (Claudia) Snell, Betty (Earl) Reid, Lloyd Snell, Terry (Frank) Vachon, and Bill Tallis; her niece Alvina Hughes; her great-nephew Joshua Hughes; and her nephew Burton Horan.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Big River Legion Hall, Big River, SK with Delores Beaulac officiating.
