Timothy Stuart Smith
November 24, 1970 to October 16, 2014 Age 43
With profound sorrow, we announce the unexpected death of our son, Timothy Stuart Smith, in Okotoks, Alberta and formerly of Prince Albert.
In addition to his many friends in his home province, Tim spent 14 years living and working in Mexico, where he married and had deep friendships there, before returning to Canada, settling in Alberta.
Called a gentle soul by one of his best friends, Tim held his friends close to his heart, keeping in contact with them over the years.
He loved to fish and had fond memories of weekend fishing trips with his buddies. He also enjoyed music and was learning to play guitar.
Although Tim’s aunts, uncles, cousins and their families were far away and spread across the country, they were a priority in his life and he always tried to keep in touch and ask about them in his conversations.
Tim’s little dog, Kira, raised from a puppy in Mexico and who accompanied him back to Canada, was the love of his life, and now lives with his parents.
If only three words could best describe Tim, these words would be Generous, Caring and Loving.
Tim is survived by his proud parents, Steve and Judy Smith of Parksville, BC and formerly of Prince Albert.
Funeral arrangements handled by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, Alberta (403) 243-8200.
