Devon Timothy Wayne Sjogren
July 8, 1987 – October 20, 2014
Devon was born on July 8, 1987 in Prince Albert SK; the son of Gary and Colleen Sjogren and brother to Richelle and Justin. He was raised in Deer Ridge SK and attended Wild Rose School until grade 8, completing his grade twelve at Carlton High School in Prince Albert. Through those years he built a foundation of friends which led to many memories of snowmobiling, road trips, ice fishing, farming and camping. Directly following his graduation he moved to Fort St. John BC to begin his career in the oil patch.
Initially Devon began as a welder’s helper aspiring to become a welder but knee issues forced him to change careers and move into pipe fitting which he did up to his untimely death. On December 19, 2010 Devon met the love of his life Krystal Lee Beth. It was that day that their lives both forever changed. Together, side by side, they created a life of love, laughter and adventure – together they had the world in their hands. Devon had plans of marriage, children and building a life together in Fort St. John BC with Krystal and his pipe line family. However, those plans were shattered suddenly October 20, 2014 in Grande Prairie AB.
Devon sadly leaves to mourn: the love of his life and best friend, Krystal and puppa dog Odenson Big Country Blaze; his parents Gary and Colleen Sjogren of Deer Ridge SK; his siblings Richelle (John) Lambiris of Prince Albert SK and Justin (Jenn) Sjogren of St. Louis SK; his nieces that filled his world: Danika and Adriana Lambiris, Saydi and Meeya Tait-Sjogren, Sierra McBeth; and his only nephew Ty McBeth; his grandparents Andrew and Shirley Sjogren and Helen Krasko; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his dogs Jax and Havoc Sjogren; his grandfather Alex Krasko; his great grandmother’s Erna Meier and Marie Lubyk and his uncle Brian Burgess.
Devon was a true example of how to live your life to the fullest – go big or go home.
