Rosie Morin, age 70 years, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014, in Flin Flon, MB. She was born Thursday, October 19, 1944 in Pelican Narrows, SK. Wake services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, SK, Saturday, November 1 at William’s residence, Pelican Narrows, and Sunday, November 2 at Wapanachak School, Pelican Narrows. Her Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3 from St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Pelican Narrows. Celebrant was Father Susai Jesu. Rosie is survived by her loving family: her husband William Morin; her daughter Loret (John) Cook; her sons Martin (Margo) Thomas, Ronnie (Tammy) Morin; her special grandchildren whom she raised Martina Thomas and Sherice Morin; her grandchildren Kevin Linklater, Michael Thomas, Holly Thomas, Marlena Thomas and Margaret Cook; her great-grandchildren Kayler Sewap, Kason Thomas, Dakota, Megan and Bailey Cook; her sisters Eva (Hubert), Darlene (George) Michel, Lorna (Mike) Custer, Marlene Thomas; her brothers Roderick (Liza) Thomas, Robert (Florence) Thomas; her step-brothers Gary (Debra) Thoms, Robert “Napew” Canada; her aunties and uncle George (Mary) Ballantyne, Harriette Merasty; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her sons Arthur Morin, Michael Morin; her two infant sons; her parents David and Ellen (nee Ballantyne) Thomas; her sisters Lena Sewap, Christina (Joe) Michel, Rita (Moise) Bear; her brothers Joseph, Johnny and Pierre Thomas; her aunties Angelique Ballantyne, Sarah Ballantyne, Rosie Goulet, Annie Custer, Sophie Goulet, Christina Merasty; her uncles Angus Merasty, Peter Ballantyne, Roderick Ballantyne, George Custer; her in-laws Arthur and Elizabeth Morin; her sister-in-law Blanche Morin; her brothers-in-law Philip Morin, Frank Morin, August Morin, Wilfred Canada Sr.; her nieces and nephews Sheila Caribou, Melvin, Kevin and Brian Michel, Harriet McCallum, Hilda Eninew, Michael Custer Jr., Pamela and Justin Michel, Connie Sewap, Wanda Sewap, Richard Sewap, George Sewap; her grandchildren Judy Caribou, Quentin Ballantyne, Samantha Canada, Robert Michel, Wilfred Canada, Jr. Interment took place in Moise Bear Memorial Gardens, Pelican Narrows, SK.
