Gordon Dennis Kostuik
December 27, 1952 – November 15, 2014
Gord, a lifelong resident of Prince Albert, passed away peacefully at the age of 61 after a long battle with brain cancer. He is survived by, his mother, Jean Vansil (Baliski); his children and grandchildren, Gordon (Amber) Ara, and Shea Kostuik, Holly (Gavin) Vencia, and West Hunter, Jamie (Taylor) and Owen Howard; his brothers Donald Kostuik, Robert (Donna) Vansil and his sister Barbara (Dwayne) and Chantel Butterfield. He was predeceased by his father Michael Kostuik; step-father Ray Vansil; grandparents Peter and Ksenka Kostuik, Peter and Annie Balicki, and Andrew and Annie Vansil; his siblings Sandra, Darlene, Brenda and Barry Kostuik; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gord was an avid nature lover and was happiest when outside. He spent the majority of his adult life truck driving and loved that he could see the countryside of many different parts of Canada. His strong, quiet personality will be dearly missed. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28 Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Linda Holmevik officiating. Interment will take place immediately following at South Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
