Albert Louis Joseph Paradis

October 31, 1939 – December 20, 2014

After a 9 month courageous battle with cancer, Albert peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family.  Albert was the oldest of 9 children born to Antoine and Cecile Paradis and married 49 years to his loving wife, Therese Paradis.  Albert’s biggest passions in his life, first was his family, but they also included farming for over 50 years, helping his fellow farmers through veterinary skills, serving his community in many ways like coaching sports, serving on local boards and committees, and singing in church choir.  One of his proudest moments in his life was when he received his watch for driving school bus for 45 years which included 3 generations of some local families.  Albert was predeceased by his father, Antoine Paradis; his mother, Cecile (Dussault) Paradis, and his brother Raymond Paradis.  Albert is survived by his loving wife, Therese (Lavoie) Paradis; his children, Rose-Marie Paradis and Todd Bear; Julien and Leanne (Hand) Paradis, Normand and Teri (Anderson) Paradis; his siblings, Alma and Johnny Kerley, Lionel and Shirley Paradis, Denis and Leona Paradis, Suzanne Kopan, Phillip and Cindy Paradis, Leo and Christine Paradis, Richard and Ronda Paradis; grandchildren, Eric Paradis, Tyra-Lee Parenteau, Kile Paradis, Renée Paradis, Zoie Parenteau, Samantha Paradis and Brianna Paradis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2014.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014.  Both services will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Albertville, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father D.J. Vu.  Interment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 – 11^th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
