John Henry Trawin

John Henry Trawin was born on January 1, 1926 to Arthur and Jessie Trawin and passed away January 6, 2015. He was the third of four children. After completing high school at Belgrave, John attended the University of Saskatchewan and studied Agriculture graduating in 1946. He met the love of his life, a young nurse, Florence Clark and they were married June 1, 1951. Five children were born to them and then fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. John became a Pedigree Seed farmer and won many awards over the years. In 1958 he built a seed cleaning plant and by the turn of the year they were cleaning seed 12 months of the year. John developed a very active seed import and export business and his legacy continues with his two sons and two grandsons who now operate the business. John enjoyed family holidays in the motorhome which took them driving through 10 provinces, 48 states, all the way from Alaska to Mexico. John was a 4H leader for several years as well a leader for the Farm Boys and Girls Camps. John and Florence traveled to old time dances around the country earning them life long friends. Over the years John attended numerous University class reunions the most recent being his 65th in 2011 which he attended with pride. John was predeceased by his wife Florence in 2009, his parents, Florence’s parents, his brother Bill, a sister Jean Cross, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. John is survived by their children Betty (Wayne) Armstrong, Amber (Collin) Fischer, Corey (Tamara), Brandi (Rob) Kendall, Tenille (James) Johnson, Preslee & Parker; Denise (Graham) Young, Landon, Dalyce (Casey); Ross, (Debbie), Jennifer (Tom) Cooke, Sam & Eowyn; Mitchell (Jenny), Ashton (Jenna), Jessica; Shelly (Dwight) Radloff, Kevin (Jen), Ryan & Finley, Karla (Corey) Hardcastle, Heidi & Jesse; Brent (Julie), Liam & Jett; his sister Margaret (Archie) Groat, sisters-in-law Annemarie Trawin and Anne Clark.
