Clarence Eugene Schlechte

Clarence Eugene Schlechte was born to George and Clara Schlechte on April 3, 1926 on the family farm near Whittome, Saskatchewan. He passed peacefully at the age of 88, at the Melfort Hospital on January 3, 2015 having lived 86 years on the homestead before becoming a resident of Parkland Place in Melfort in July of 2013.
Clarence was predeceased by his parents, his parents-in-law, Peter and Evelyn Reimer, his brothers Ralph and Lorne and his daughter-in-law Adelle.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan of 59 years, his eldest daughter Karen and husband Terry of Kindersley and their three children, Lindsey (Shawn) and great grandchildren Logan and Hunter, Allan (Kayla) and Kaylea (Justin); son Gerald who lives on the same land that has been in the family for over 100 years, and his three children, Ryan (Kristin) and great grandchildren Charlotte and Nicholas; Amy (Clay) and great grandchildren Korbyn and Annelisse; and Alyssa (Brandon) and great grandson Jaxson; youngest daughter Twila and husband Ivan of Star City and their four boys, Steven and his son Taylor, Karl (Colleen), Matthew (Jill) and great grandson Rylan, and Clarence’s youngest grandson, Luke.
He also leaves to cherish his memory two sisters – Beulah (Bill) and Georgina (Abe) both of Spiritwood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
