Kenneth Torvale Njaa
August 22, 1920 – January 17, 2015
Kenneth Torvale Njaa, late of Saskatoon, SK, formerly of Hagen, SK, passed away on January 17, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Ken was born on the farm in Hagen, SK on August 22, 1920. He served with the Prince Albert Volunteers from 1941 until 1945. Ken enjoyed woodworking, golfing and farming. Ken is survived by his wife of 69 years: Molly Njaa; his daughter: Iris (Allan) Mitchell; his daughter-in-law: Lana Njaa; his grandchildren: Brad (Laura) Mitchell, Brian (Amy) Mitchell, Kent (Heather) Njaa, Mathew Njaa, and Scott (Rachel) Njaa; his great-grandchildren: Mallie and Jaycee Mitchell, Katy and Tyce Mitchell, Landon and Gabrielle Njaa, and Hailey Njaa; his siblings: Arna Sollid, Norma Haugrud, and Avren (Marj) Njaa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his brother: Rudolf Njaa; his son: Larry Njaa; and his granddaughter: Sheri Lynn Mitchell. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 812 Preston Avenue, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 2V2 or the Birchview Nursing Home Auxiliary, Box 578, Birch Hills, SK S0J 0G0. A Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 – 12:00 pm, Saron Lutheran Church, Hagen, SK with the interment to follow at Saron Lutheran Cemetery.
