May 29, 1936 – January 18, 2015

Dorothy Andrews, age 78, passed away peacefully on Jan 18th, 2015 at Victoria Hospital. Dorothy was born on May 29th, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario.  She met and married her husband Bob while he was stationed at Canadian Forces Base Petawawa.  They later travelled to Germany where they spent 3 years prior to settling in Prince Albert to raise her family.  Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Andrews, Donna (Jerry Hamilton) Andrews, Brenda (Brian) White, Wayne (Kelly) Andrews, Shelley (Allan) Balan, Sheila (Deb) Andrews, Grant Andrews.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, Taylor, Jaylene, Jacqueline, Jason, Terry, Liam, Morgan, her “special boy” Tomas “T.J.”, Challon, Justin, Erica, James, and Gabby; as well as several great grandchildren.  Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Jack and Florence and her husband Keith “Bob” Andrews in 2001.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at the Herb Bassett Home for making her last several years comfortable and enjoyable. As well, thanks to all the medical staff at the Victoria Hospital for their kindness and compassion during Dorothy’s recent decline in health.  Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28^th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date.   In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Herb Bassett Nursing Home, 1200- 24^th Street West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 4N9.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306-922-4729).
