JEAN BAPTISTE BRANGER
March 21, 1910 – December 27, 2014
Jean passed away peacefully in Birch Hills, SK on Saturday, December 27, 2014 after a long life of 104 years. His parents moved from France and settled in the Hoey area where he and his sister, Marguerite, were both born. Jean and his sister were life-long companions. He was raised in a small farmhouse with no running water or sewer. He and his sister farmed together with their parents and after their parents passed away, Jean and Marquerite took over the home and farm and continued to raise cattle and farm grain. Jean enjoyed his weekly trips to Prince Albert and the picnic lunches that he and Marguerite would pack. Jean took a great deal of pride in driving a new vehicle and always purchased his vehicles from Anderson Motors in Prince Albert. He loved attending his auction sales and took great pride in his collection of licence plates. In the late 1990s the family farm was sold and Jean and Marguerite moved into Prince Albert. Jean lived in Marquis Towers for a number of years in his retirement and finally moved with Marguerite to the Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills where he resided until his passing. Jean was well liked by the staff and residents and will be sadly missed. Jean is survived by his sister Marguerite Branger. He was predeceased by his parents Jean Baptiste Branger and Marie Louise (Pierzo) Branger. At his request, no funeral service will be held. Interment of cremated remains took place in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL 306-764-2727, Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director
