ALBERT ‘SY’ SYMAK left us on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the age of 85. Al was born near Prud’homme, SK on July 15, 1929 and grew up in Saskatoon. He started his employment with Saskatchewan Telephones in 1948. Sy, as he was known, retired from SaskTel in 1983. He married Helen Lang in 1950 and the young family transferred to Prince Albert in 1956. Al loved his family, his garden and his sweets. He volunteered with the Prince Albert Raiders and the Telephone Pioneers. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Caroline (nee Deptuck) Symak; his parents-in-law Paul and Francis (nee Schmidt) Lang. Sy is survived by his wife Helen; children Sharon (Ken Meachem), Sheila (Ron Schwab) and Darby (Allisyn Camche) and grandchildren Michael and Jaime Schwab. A Private Family interment will be held in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Keep Al’s smile in your heart and mind.
