Malfrid Njaa

Malfrid “Molly” Njaa, late of Saskatoon, SK, formerly of Hagen, SK, passed away on February 2, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Molly was born in Norway on September 14, 1922 and immigrated with her family at age 3. She grew up in the Lake Park District, near Birch Hills, SK. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, knitting, and crocheting. Molly is survived by her daughter: Iris (Allan) Mitchell; her daughter-in-law: Lana Njaa; her grandchildren: Brad (Laura) Mitchell, Brian (Amy) Mitchell, Kent (Heather) Njaa, Mathew Njaa, and Scott (Rachel) Njaa; her great-grandchildren: Mallie and Jaycee Mitchell, Katy and Tyce Mitchell, Landon and Gabrielle Njaa, and Hailey Njaa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Molly was predeceased by her husband of 69 years: Kenneth Njaa; her siblings: John Hognestad, Thor Hognestad, Ingborg Kaldheim, Ingrid Mickelson, Elling Hognestad, Ingjerd Idland, and Odmund Hognestad; her son: Larry Njaa; and her granddaughter: Sheri Lynn Mitchell. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to The Birchview Nursing Home Auxiliary, Box 578, Birch Hills, SK S0J 0G0. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 – 1:00 pm, Saron Lutheran Church, Hagen, SK. Interment to follow at Saron Lutheran Cemetery, Hagen, SK.
