Norman Palmer

Norman Earnest Palmer passed away peacefully on February 11, 2015 at the age of 82 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert. Dad was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 22, 1932. He worked for CP Rail for 35 years taking his family from Manitoba to Ontario, and then settling in Prince Albert in 1975. In retirement Dad worked at Fairview Golf Course where he enjoyed the golf and friendships he made there. Norman will be lovingly remembered by: his wife of 58 years: Audrey; his daughter: Debbie Palmer (Rick Sanderson) and her children: Kristin (Josh), Kara (Cory), and Kyle (Stephanie); his daughter : Kim (Derek) Hlewka and their children: Meagan and Mark; great-grandchildren: Brendan, Brooklyn, Logan, Brielle, and Brody; his brother: Jack Palmer of Winnipeg and his longtime friend Harvey Singbeil of Winnipeg. A special thanks to the kind Parkland Ambulance Drivers, Cardiac Ward at the Royal University Hospital and the loving staff from the 5th level at the Victoria Hospital. A private celebration of life and interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert.
