Horace Basil Merasty, age 67 years, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Prince Albert, SK.  He was born on Saturday, May 10, 1947 in Pelican Narrows, SK.  Prayer Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert.  Wake Services were held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Senator Allan Bird Memorial Gym, Prince Albert with Officiant Father Travis Myrheim; Monday, March 2 at the home of Horace and Dorothy Merasty, Pelican Narrows; and Tuesday, March 3 at Wapanacak Gym, Pelican Narrows.  Funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4 from St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Pelican Narrows.  Celebrant was ­­­­­­­­­Father Susai Jesu.  Horace is survived by his loving family: his daughter Rachel Walker; his son Blair Merasty; his special grandchildren Dalton, Drayton, Johnny Jr.; his precious Chapan Addison Walker; his adopted children Brittany Highway, Destiny Highway, Jason Michel; his mother Helen Merasty; his siblings Pierre (June) Merasty, Sylvia Merasty, Emile (Darlene) Merasty, Cecile (Keith) Merasty, Terri (Duane) Hiebert, Rose Merasty, Donna (Brian N.)
