It is with sadness, but wonderful memories held close to their heart, that the family of Mrs. Bernice Elizabeth Kilbreath announce her peaceful passing on March 23, 2015 surrounded by family.
Bernice was born on August 28, 1936 in Brockington, Sk; to Ralph and Susan Hansen. Bernice lived most of her young life in Big River, and that is where she met the love of her life Wilfred Ross Kilbreath. They went on to get married in 1956.
Bernice had worked for years at the Tree Nursery in Big River. She talked of many fond memories of her years working at the nursery. Along with raising her family, Bernice loved gardening, crafting, crocheting, and knitting.
Everyone who was close to Bernice knew her favorite place to be was at home with her family. Her fondest cherished memories would be by far all the time she got to spend with her children, grandchildren, sisters, and brothers. Her family will remember the many visits on her big sunny deck amongst her flowers, ferns and trees.
Bernice loved to travel with her family and cherished memories of her trip to Florida, Disneyworld and her train ride to Jasper.
Bernice was a very caring, gentle, patient woman. She has been a confidant and friend to many people. If she could help you with anything, she would always giver her best. She was a silent, strong presence in all of her families’ lives. She was little but she she had a mind of her own with a will of steel.
Bernice’s strong, quiet personality will be missed so very much by all of her family and many friends. Goodbye Bernice, we celebrate your life, and we are so very happy you were a big part of ours.
