Stanley Laturnas

It is with great sadness, that the family of Stan Laturnas announces his sudden passing on Sunday March 22, 2015, at the age of 67. Stan was born on April 2, 1947, in Regina, SK. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his children Connie (Blair Ross), Vickie (Dean) Chenier, Matthew Laturnas, his grandchildren Owen, Emelie and Ethan, brother George (Sharon) Laturnas, three sisters Magdalena (Ron) Paul, Joanne (Robert) Kuntz, Debbie (Neil) Selinger and many other special family members and friends. Stan was predeceased by his loving wife Geraldine, his father and mother Leonard and Katherine Laturnas, mother-in-law and father-in-law Harry and Eva Henry, sister-in-law Irene (Tip) Henry and infant brother Karl. Stan will always be remembered for his kind ways, friendly conversations and love for sports. Stan loved spending time with his family and loved the activities it brought, including plenty of guitar playing and singing with his brothers-in-law, watching the kids play hockey and time at the lake fishing. There were many fun times visiting with friends and family, Stan always made everyone feel welcome and loved spending time listening and telling stories from times gone passed. Family and friends are invited to share in the celebration of Stan’s life on Friday March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at River Park Memorial Chapel. There will be an opportunity for anyone who wishes to have a last visit before the ceremony beginning at 1:00 p.m. It is the family’s request that donations in memory of Stan be made to the SPCA in lieu of flowers.
