Joan Listwan, age 68, of Prince Albert, SK, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015, in Prince Albert, SK. Celebration of Life will be held at Carlton Park Community Club, 3100 Dunn Drive Saturday, April 4, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Joan was born in Prince Albert on October 6, 1946. She was known for her strong work ethic, working for and away from the family business (Mardell’s Husky Service), sometimes carrying three jobs at a time. She was always doing whatever she could to provide for her children Sherry and Darryn. Family was her number one priority. She always supported them through hockey, horse jumping/rodeo, school, work, parenting and in their day-to-day lives. She was a selfless and generous person, who was always looking to lend a hand to friends and family. Even during her last days, she always put her concern for others ahead of herself. Joan is survived by her husband Eddie Listwan, her daughter Sherry and husband Ron Ostrom who have three daughters Alexandra, Harper and Marlowe; her son Darryn and wife Michelle Listwan. She is reunited with her parents Louis and Mary (Kissel) Mardell, her sister Sophie Mardell and brother Danny Mardell. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped provide care for Joan over the last year. She was a devoted mom, wife, grandma, daughter, sister and friend who will be dearly missed and forever loved and cherished.
