Rachel Custer, age 83 years, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Flin Flon, MB.  She was born on Wednesday, August 12, 1931 in Pelican Narrows, SK.  Wake Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9 at River Park Memorial Chapel, Prince Albert, SK, with Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk officiating; and Thursday and Friday, April 9 and 10 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Deschambault Lake, SK.  Her Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11 from St. Peter’s Anglican Church.  Officiants were Reverend Rachel Custer and Reverend Elias Ballantyne.  Rachel is survived by her loving family: her sons Simon, Michael (Amanda), Mathew, Thomas (Lydia), George (Caroline), Malcolm, Solomon; her daughters Barbara (Archie), Sophie, Madelaine, Alena, Katie (Simon), Nancy, Susan (Adolph), Maggie (Alexander) Anne (Nick); her sisters Joyce (Earl), Margaret, Caroline; her brothers Allan (Bernadette), Cornelius, Benjamin; her adopted brother Martin Custer; her aunties Jean, Sarah, Florence; her sisters-in-law Jeannie, Christina; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by: her husband Roderick Custer; her companion Zacheus Ballantyne; her children Caroline, Sandy, Linda, Henry, Absolom, Simeon; her siblings Ralph, Henry, Telsa, Jean, Henry E., Douglas B.; her sisters-in-law Jane, Flora; her brothers-in-law Henry, Peter; her parents Simeon and Elizabeth; her paternal grandparents Rachel and Peter Ballantyne; her maternal grandparents George Cadotte and Jean Ballantyne; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Interment took place in Robertson’s Island Cemetery, Deschambault Lake. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Prince Albert, 306 764-2727, Carla Jesso, Funeral Director.
